Played my ugly horn it at the jam in the Engelbewaarder last sunday - it delivers! It is a small bar that, when the jam is on, is jampacked with people - litterally packed. Drums are incredibly loud, there's no amplifcation save for the bass player and the odd guitar player. So to be able to cut through and still have a nice tone is something. I'm a fan!

Nice to hear that, haven't been to the Engelbewaarder in a while (I don't play, just watch!) however, Sean Bergin and Paul Stoker ( who played there before before together with Sean) never had a problem to cut the crowd sound absorption Goed Gedaan!

Rock on, I have the exact same thing, even a 364xxx. I love, love, love it! The only tenor I've every played that I really liked better was my sax prof's super balanced action.

Thanks... Yes, Sean still cuts through right there - alweay lovely to hear him. He brings a Super 20 alto along every once in while, btw. I haven't seen Paul Stocker play in a long time - too bad, he was a fantastic player.

The King Super 20 I usually play has intonation difficulties in hot weather. I think it is the silver neck and bell.
I just noticed this statement in another thread and was curious if anyone else has experienced this?

Hi everyone, I am interested in an older model Super 20, or Silver sonic, I would like it to be from 295 up to 340. I would like the pearl keys, Silver neck and possibly silver bell. If anyone knows of one let me know. This will be a backup horn. Thanks Joe

Y'know, it doesn't matter anymore. They're both killers, and in the right hands can do each other's job admirably.
Just two questions: Where's the Bar located relative to the stage, and does the band get a discount?

I just joined the forum and the first thing i wanted to do was to join the Super 20 fan club. I play a 599xxx Silversonic Super 20 (even though its a high serial # I think it plays great) with a Link STM 8 and love every second of it. I've had the horn for 4 years now and have had no trouble with it since the first day I got it.

Hello super 20 fan! I have a update for you!

I've found a full pearl silversonic and bought it from the original owner who bought it in 1956. Everywhere on the net, it's said that the serie 2 (or full pearl) S20 ends a 340XXX. The one I just bought is a 343XXX!! so maybe it's one of the last full pearl silversonic ever built. Did anyone have a full pearl with a higher serial than 340XXX ?
    Thank for your help!
