Funk Band Suggestions?
Alright, I'm in a battle between the BIONIX and Quantum mouthpieces. I'm in a funk band and I really want a brighter louder sound. The Quantum has a spoiler, but the Bionix doesn't. Although it says the Bionix is quite loud, do I really want/need the spoiler? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

what horn -alto or tenor?

the quantum for alto isnt a very good match so i have been told by experienced players. the bionex is a good choice as its loud, bright and is extremly easy to hit the altisimo notes. it does tune a little sharp which is an issue on some horns. a better choice is the XL. this is the best alto mpc i have found yet for this type of music. i dont have the spioler for mine nor do i need it. its very powerful but i use plasticover reeds. you might get the spoiler in case you need it.

the bionex dosnt have a spoiler nor does it need one
