    Default MTNA National Finals

Once again, the saxophone will be well represented at the MTNA National Finals in Atlanta. Five of the seven solo finalists are saxophonists. Also, four of the seven chamber groups are saxophone quartets.

    GO SAXOPHONE.

I dunno, this is kind of scary. Is the sax getting too popular?

Chamber music competition is Saturday, March 28th. Am I smelling a road trip, Angel? It would be nice to get Buffalo Wild Wings with you again.

By the way, can anyone tell me who are the finalists, both chamber music and solo?

Congrats to the 3 sax quartets who placed in this weekend's MTNA competition in Atlanta:

    1st - Redline Saxophone Quartet - Eastman
    2nd - Hi-Def Saxophone Quartet - Univ. of Illinois
    3rd - Krang Quartet - Southern Miss

I had the pleasure to hear these groups play yesterday. Great performances all around.

I know John Cummins, Student of Dr. E. Rousseau, won 1st prize. That's it though. 2nd and 3rd? Anyone?

MTNA must be sick of getting so many Saxophonist winners every year lol.
