Eugh, personally, i'd never use the stuff on my lips it just doesn't look good, by some vasaline or lipsil and suggest she uses that :P

Any but personally I play Alto and have done for 5 years, I then have just started soprano and love it, the transition was easy too! good luck!

I have played the alto for 5 years now and my school has asked me to paly the soprano for the quartet, I felt the transition was relativly easy, it's a little harder to play so you have to try harder...

So funny, it's exactly the same here in good ole england, my sax section pretty similar! Even the teachers that play sax are like that.
