Re: Which Sax are Late Bloomers playing

Started out on a YAS 62CII with the intention of giving it my all for two years and then reviewing. If I thought that I had aptitude for the sax after that then maybe purchase a pro horn...

FIXED Re: New (on the right side) animated banners

I'm running Mac OS 10.6.8/Safari 5.1.10, and the new banner ad obscures the "Settings" and "Log Out" buttons at the top right of the page.

I might be here for a while...

    [Admin] Re: New side bars

I've enjoyed the sidebar articles, but they've lately disappeared.

    Re: RIP Peter Roebuck

Same here. I've always thought that summer was heralded by Peter Roebuck's column.

Re: Adjusting height of side key touch pieces?

Thanks ptung, that's sound advice. Perfectly sensible to be there when the tech makes measurements, etc.

I plan on posting a follow-up once the work is complete, however so far I've got the RH...

Re: Adjusting height of side key touch pieces?

My thanks to everyone for taking the time to respond.

I'll take the sax to a tech and explain the problem, and let the tech sort it.

At least I won't feel such a dill when I get there.

Adjusting height of side key touch pieces?

    Hello all,

I won't know if this is a silly question unless I ask it...

Is it possible to adjust the height of the side keys - Bb, C, high E - so that the touch pieces sit higher? Mine are quite...

It's not a particularly 'chatty' forum, yes, mostly for intros only.

If you want small talk (and indeed, big talk) there is the Member Lounge.

BTW, a big welcome to Sax on the Web to you and to...

    New member @ club Selmer

    Hello all,

Long story short - recent death of an old uncle saw me come into a small inheritance... Enough to purchase a decent sax with plenty left over for non-essentails such as food, clothing,...

Re: how to work out a beat?

Start by counting to four, and repeat:

    1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. (frer, re, jac, ques, frer, re, jac, ques)

    Add the 'rest':

    1, 2, 3, (rest), 1, 2, 3, (rest) (dor, me, vous, rest, dor,...
