Hmmm. I visit the TH and TM forums regularly even though I'm actually a saxophonist, principally alto. I never played trumpet, so I might not have the insight you were looking for.

I'm afraid you've misinterpreted your source or come across some misinformation. Maybe if you told me more about what you found and where you found it, I can get you headed in the right direction.

I don't have the chart, but I do have a fake book lead sheet if that would be any help.

I wonder if you may be able to help me.

I run a Litttle Big Band here in the UK, playing swing for community events. We have for some time now been trying to find a BB chart of Artie Shaw's "Moon Ray", having heard the mp3, but it seems to be little known. Research has revealed that you hold the collection of his music and find that the piece is referred to in the collection. It apparently resides in box 19 for his 1939 recording but in a more complete form in box 63, folder 8, for his later 1945 recording. Is it possible for me to obtain a copy of this version of "MoonRay" as a pdf file or indeed, how it may be obtained please. It seems such a shame that the piece is not played anymore.
