Ahhh...well, the VT scene is...there's not a whole lot of a scene in VT. Burlington has the University of VT and relatively speaking, lots of venues. Problem as i understand it is that there's lots of competition,so club owners don't pay much. Most musicians in Vermont are in several bands if they want to work more than a few times a year. There are not many and not many people and not many cities...depending on where you're from, you'd probably find it a misnomer...really just towns of greater or lesser size and not many few venues for blues and even fewer for jazz. It is a very "New England rural" state. That said, there are waystaions like WRJ which has jazz at Elixer niteclub, Brattleboro which has the VT Jazz Center, Bellows Falls which had a restaurant with some jazz, Keene NH which is a few miles east of the VT border. which has a blues jam. There are a huge percentage of creative types but they don't "go out" much
