hELLO Mr. Miller, been out of touch for some time .Just wondering whether you would have spotted a thread about physical characteristics affecting tone.A very recent thread. This was about a statement by Ed Pillinger which I found to be rather hilarious coming from an authority on mouth pieces.I made two comments, one at the beginning and one at the end.If you do have the time please look for it on the new threads forum,How's work with the band? Where will you be playing for NEW YEARS EVE ?A Sri Lanksn boy won AUSTRALIA'S GOT TALENT SHOW . His father ,Conrad was the singer in the band I was with in 1966-67.Let me have some news. Bye All the best

Just received your two CDs.Listened to both .About your RADIO DAYS Band, smooth, beautifully blending sax line-up re-creating the music of an era just gone by.I think the N ITE OWLS band recording brought out the best in your capabilities as a REED MAN.Your style and tone reminds me of LUCKY THOMPSON, ARNETT COBB and EARL BOSTIK ALL ROLLED into one.Cool and soulful for blues and swinging and sparkling for the up-tempo numbers. Thanks once more and keep that music coming. All the best. Hello Mr.Miller, thanks for your message. Its good to hear from someone who plays with a countryman of mine.I love dixie stuff though I dont get a chance to play it now.You must be quite experienced because playing dixie means improvising and doing your solo together with the others at the same time. That needs a lot of concentration.I would like to know the name of your band leader. Some of our best musicians are now domiciled in Aussie. One of the best pianists,Raddy Ferreira passed away recently while playing on a cruise ship.I ve been all over Melbourne and to some parts of Sydney, but where is Ocean Grove.I have hundreds of friends in Aussie and I know all the musicians from my country.By the way I would like to buy your album.I may be able to send a friend to collect it and I can have the money sent from Melbourne.I have done a CD of 14 tracks. .Would like to hear more from you. Give my regards to your AMBA YALUWA.All the best. HORNLOVER. Colombo.

:bsod::bsod:Hi Pat! I noticed you are in Ocean Grove too. We have our fair share of good player I reakon. There is Tim Niel, Robert Carvell, and others I have not met yet like yourself. Do you play anywhere locally? I often play at Bardeli, and the Colli Pub. Mainly Blues, Rock, and Reggae.
