thank you for the insight on my jazz improv discussion. outside notes are something I hear frequently and would love to know exactly what they are doing. dont take me the wrong way, I do know how to play and am good, but I am not great. there is so much I dont know and I am ready to expand my knowledge of improvisation. i intend to get my masters in a form of jazz(still unsure yet on what) as soon as I finish with my undergrad, and want to know as much about jazz as i can. it is my passion beleive me, I do know how to read chords very well, but arpeggiating the 1,3,5,7 gets very boring, and then doing scales and modes gets boring too. I like the non-diatonic sounds, but I do not know how to resolve those and properly use them. I get lucky sometimes, but sometimes it just doesnt work, and that is what I want to know. again thank you
