    Hello,
I was curious if you still owned/used the woodstone 82z tenor? I just stumbled upon this thread even though it's almost a year old since the last entry. I am looking into purchasing an 82z alto and was curious if you had any experience or opinions between the woodstone line vs the regular 82z that you could pick up anywhere?

Thanks for the imput. btw, I love your tone on the video clip you posted! mines a little brighter, but when I play straight ahead jazz, that's the sound I aspire for, unfortunately I play more rock/fusion and my audience doesn't afford me the luxury of a darker/warmer/fuller sound, but you sound amazing for what it's worth.

    Hello again,
bought it last summer (end of August) and it`s a wonderful instrument indeed. Don´t know why Tom sold it again, but I think he needed the money for an SBA he was after.
Had bad results (wobbling low notes, when played in tune and uneven intonation) with different kind of mouthpieces but now I get good results using a Drake Son of Slant 7* Large Chamber and ZZ-reeds in 3 (or A. Sup. DV 3).
What works, too, for my astonishment is an old handmade Guardala Custom piece with a kind of Studio chamber (bit too loud and not that easy to control for me).
Don´t blame me, but I had to get the neck lenghtened by Saxofoonwinkel, because all the pieces nearly fell off the neck when played in tune. I hope this will improve if I learn to breathe better and my embouchure relaxes. Then the neck extension can be taken off again.
    Best wishes,
    Dirk

    Hi,
I bought "your" wonderful 30M last year from Supersonic here in Germany.
As I`m not an advanced player, I have some difficulties to play it in tune with the mouthpieces I own. I think it`s mainly a problem of relaxin my emboucher but elsewhere I read that some pieces don`t work as good as others.
What did you use and what are your recommendations?

    Thanks a whole lot
