I'm a principal study saxophonist, all the doubling came after.
I was with McCrystal for 2 years and then was able to move, ended up having Simon Stewart for my final year.
Went on to complete my PG Dip at the RNCM with Rob Buckland.

I've been overseas for the last 5 years and during that time learnt the clarinet (properly), bassoon and oboe (all self taught).
I challenged myself to take grade 8's and ended up taking 3 in 18 months.

I've done a fair bit of playing on the doubling and a fair number of shows.
I decided it was time to come back to the UK (with an army of instruments) and I'm now looking to try and get some work as well as getting myself fit. Current plan is to join the Army and be a musician.

I think we have met, or at least you've heard me play - in Howarth.

I know you didn't ask for so much detail, so I hope I've not bored you!

    Regards,

    Mathew Curtis

Hi saxsaxsax69, I see you were at Trinity College, so was I. Did you study with Stephen Nagy?
    Best wishes
