    Hi from NYC,
    Enjoy your posts.
I noticed you bent the neck of your Martin
Alto. Up or down. Any regrets.?
I have a Martin stencil and the neck is slightly pulled down, it sounds great, but the angle is awkward for me. I have to hold the horn high in front.
After looking at the neck closely, I feel it was bent intentionally.
Was it to make the horn sound different?
I would hate to loose what tone I have. Are there used Martin necks out there?
    Any thoughts on this?
    All best,!,

Don't chase perfection as perfection is unattainable. I find practice makes perfect to be true but also a misnomer as practice makes one not perfect but it makes one's activity second nature to involuntary acts such as breathing, etc.

    hey capt. b,
i noticed in the metalite fan post your having to change mpcs to match reeds...in the thread "all you vandoren and rico jazz select experts " dave r turned on this novice player and others to a simple way adjust reeds to a mouthpiece......using his flick method you can stick to your beloved m-11 with all your reeds.....john

Lewis - of course you may become a friend - isn't that what we are already ?

Just drove back from a funeral in Plymouth ( and a quick forage over the border to my Cornish homeland) - and a timely reminder that life is so fragile, so I'd better make the best of it and stop farting around... The 'big C' crept up on a very healthy lady, a fighter and full of life, but she was gone in a matter of months - all that can thankfully be said is that she was spared pain and suffering at the end. Shudder...

    Kind Regards, Alan
