    There is a relationship between the harmonic function of a chord and the accompanying scale. You can't really call a scale "scale X", even if it has the same notes as "scale Y", if it doesn't apply...

    no you're not crazy. I've had the same intonation on every chinese curvy I've played. You'd be better off buying a straight soprano. Or save up your money for a yanigisawa.
