    i also usually leave the old strapring,but this one was worn through,so in the bin it goes....clean up the solder and in a year or 3 it will look fine....this transitional was a bare-brass...

    yes,we knows its a re-lacquer.....i was just speaking of generalization's when doing modifications to any horn thats re-lacquered,doesn't affect the originality,as its already not original....
