Hi , I'm a tenor and soprano player , I play professionally and I use 70% tenor and 30% soprano. Since the requests for bari increased I'm planning to buy one bari. A friend of mine gave me a Conn 12 M bari for a super long trial period (he will be abroad for 2 months):serial number is C21096....

So I picked up one of these odd ducks a couple of weeks ago. I can play a few tunes on it OK, but I'm wondering if there is a way to get chromatic notes without doing the half-hole thing. When I cover half a tone hole, the sound gets really fuzzy/stuffy. Are there any magic fingerings that work...

Does anybody know the difference between a Wonder or New Invention Conn saxophone? I've got a Tenor dated from 1914, sn#29xxx with the union label. It's satin silver with gold key work, bell wash, and engraving embellishment. Just curious if it's a Wonder or a New Invention.
