    Definitely not dark, but THICK, as in full-bodied with a lot of depth and a sense of solidarity about it. Like Stanley Turrentine's sound versus, well, just about anyone else.

    I have 1942 Conn 10M an Keilwerth SX90R Eastman 52nd, and a Mauriat 66R. The last 3 are all pretty similar, none of them sound like the Conn. I don't know if the 10M and New Wonder are similar or...
