Tip opening is one of the most important factors to consider is sizing and chosing a mouthpiece. Your C* has about a .080" tip. As you go to larger tips, you get a bigger louder sound. You generally use soter reeds with larger tips. The intonation is more flexible and is harder to control. An experiance player can control the intonation and they use their control to add more expression to thier playing.

As your embouchure gets stronger you will gravitate to harder reeds so you can play louder without the mouthpiece closing off on you. You can then try a larger tip opening and dropping down to a softer reed. This is just an option to consider, but most non-classical bari sax players like tips in the .105"-.125" range.

But it is a good idea to increase tips by no more than .010'-.015" at a time. This allow you to drop down 1/2 or so reed strength and get used to controlling it.

The Jag 14 is about a .124" tip. This would be quite large for you at this time.
