I'm looking for some new, modern, and unique sax players or bands to listen to...any suggestions? (Basically any genre: jazz, ska, funk, blues...)
:smilebox: My family and friends are looking for ideas for cds to give to me as presents, so I figured it was time to check out some new peeps.

Check out Kneebody (http://www.kneebody.com)!
Or Chris Potter's Underground. (http://www.chrispottermusic.com/)
Or Rudder! (http://www.myspace.com/rudderbandnewyork)
....Or... if you Really run out of bands to check out.... Snarky Puppy (http://www.myspace.com/snarkypuppy) :)
(Sorry for the shameless plug for my band. Except, since I apologized, does that make the plug shameful instead of shameless? I'm confused and possibly ashamed... Hmm...)

Polar Bear and Acoustic Ladyland from the UK. Very quirky, interesting compositions.
