Any of you find that certain mouthpieces just don't work or really do connect with the selmer series ii (tenor I mean). I'm playing on an otto link ny model and my C sharp key is just nasty flat in both middle/upper registers and I'm really worried that I'm stuck with that, I don't know what to do and I thought maybe the mouthpiece makes a difference? Or maybe the neck? Let me know!

Get the horn adjusted and have the key heights set properly, then practice long tones. All horns have their intonation quirks.

Also, holding down the side C key will help bring your C# up.
I can't imagine that the mouthpiece is the problem. it's more likely to be an embouchure issue, or possibly it could be adjusted as Saxaholic mentioned.

I just got this horn after selling my yamaha 82z. That one didn't have any problems with the intonation (albeit I was used to the horn). This one is actually terrible with the C sharp. Even holding down the side C key doesn't do much for it. I definitely have to get it adjusted, something has to be off on the horn....sigh, it's what you get for buying used online.

I have a series II tenor and I really have to tighten to get the middle C sharp in tune

The C on my Serie II alto is also quite flat. But then, I knew that before I bought it.
Listen, I like Yamaha Zs and I love my Selmer II but why in the world did you buy such an expensive sax unplayed?
There may be some light at the end of the tunnel, though. Selmers have a reputation for not being very well set up. A trip to a good repair tech might ease some of your pain.
Did you buy your sax from a merchant with a return policy?

+1
Have the sax checked.
Whilst I fully endorse the suggestions to get your horn looked over - an issue with one note in both registers suggests a set-up problem - in response to your original question, yes. I use a Link on my SA80II, but have to work harder to play in tune with the Link than I do with smaller chamber pieces (in my case, primarily Bergs). At the end of the day, sax design is a collection of compromises and trade-offs, so to a large extent it's not the sax that plays in tune, its the player. However, I would be surprised if Selmer horns weren't designed primarily using smaller chambered mpc's (i.e. Selmer mpc's), so would expect pieces of that ilk to be an 'easier' match.

I've never had an issue with a flat C# on any of the "Serie" tenors, and I use a NY Link. I would also rule out the neck for right now. Usually, whenever you have a bad neck, it will effect several notes in the same range. In most cases I've come across, bad necks cause intonation issues in the upper or lower range of the horn. Usually, the upper end keeps on getting sharper and sharper. I'm also thinking that a flat C sharp is the result of some key heights being out of adjustment. Get the horn checked over by a tech.
