Alright so...my uncle apparently has a king super 20 (I want it terribly) but due to it not being treated too well, its coating and pads are bleh...ewie...so it needs to be restored. id prefer not having to cross the rocky mnts...(i live in the denver area...well actually pueblo, but denver is easier XD) and this is what ive been told. On the outside, he wants a silver finish, and on the inside, like a gold or brass finish...so can anyone help me out here?

Can't ship the horn for a restoration? Plenty of good techs that could do this, but I don't know of any in your area.
(Silver plate with gold wash bell restoration is quite expensive BTW)

I don't know if Keith Carey (formerly of Maryland) is still working on saxes (I think he specializes in custom gunsmithing now), but he's somewhere in Colorado as far as I know and is an excellent repair technician.

He's looking for a tech in CO. As suggested, call or email Tim Glesmann @ saxalley.com. You won't regret it. He's a real pro and a really nice guy to work with as well.

+1 for Tim!
Tim's worked on many of my horns. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to have him do the work.

1) I don't think that would work. It would be too hard to track someone down. so that is out.
2) I wouldn't ever dare send something out of state, or somewhere where i have no idea where the people is. I just don't trust the mail company, or the people getting it... call me crazy but it would just worry me.
3) Well apparently thats probably all i will end up doing...giving tim a call. Which im not disappointed. He's really good. I was just looking for someone closer to home, because, like i said i don't trust mail...no matter how well you package it. I remember some guy stopped playing his alto after what happened to it. It was pretty much not able to be repaired...
