Are Oleg and Runyon the only two people/companies that make key risers for saxophone? ive heard that Runyons eventually start slipping off, and theres NO WAY im going to start gluing stuff to my sax, and Olegs seem a bit high in price for what they are...Are there any other brands out there? thanks,

not really!
just runyons and olegs before you start gluing stuff on! you can rap stuff round the palm keys to stop runyons falling off.

I had my tech adjust my palm keys so I don't need anything. Of course, I don't have big paws, either.

I've had the same Runyons on my horns for years, with no moving issues. They are not glued on either. I have had horns that wouldn't take the Runyon risers, but they were rather lousy instruments anyway, so I no longer have them.

I glued my Runyons with rubber cement.

Im thinking the olegs are the better choice...but how does one actually attach them? and wouldn't they muck up your case if you are adding stuff onto your keys? the only reason Im not liking the runyons is the idea of having to glue them on. theres NO WAY im getting glue anywhere near my brand new ref...

Yeah, I missed it the second time I went through, sorry. I guess it depends on the horn. Im going to order a set of the runyons, because theyre pretty cheap, and if they dont work theres not much loss.

I've used the Runyon style without gluing (you're supposed to glue them?) and without slippage. I have a couple on my soprano and I've used them on alto.
