I just bought an Otto Link Tone Edge alto with a straight signature and no USA on the shank. it came in a Pompano Beach , FLA box. I tried to search online for info and found that the USA on the shank started while the signature was still slanted, and remained on the shank ever since. Late Florida Links had a straight signature with a USA, right? All early Babbitts had USA on the shank right? And all modern day Links have the USA on the shank, right? I don't know what this is? Whether it is old or not, I got it at a Music and Arts store on clearance for $29.00! Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
