Jesus!
I missed that one! Is thatfor real? Is it really worth that? It looks just like my tenor link 7, but older!! and I know that is only 4 years old.
There has been and still is a lady selling whole batch of mouthpieces and reeds on behalf of her father who has shut his UK music shop. some great bargains to be had. The Link Metals have all gone well and abrand new Guardala signed piece went for shed loads of £'s. Still time if you look.

There must be some seriously wealthy jazz musicians running around these days, based on the prices of vintage mpcs. Did Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Prince Charles, and Lennox Lewis decide to form a quartet??

That first one is currently sitting at just over one thousand dollars and it still says that the reserve has not been met yet. What's going on?

The world has gone mad!!!!! Who said recession?? Credit crunch???? boom gone to bust???? Maybe it is Clinton buying them all, as Mrs C may be a little tetchy lately?? What would rather have the horn or the mouthpiece?? Cos it is getting to the point where the m/p costs more, at least the horn looks pretty and works with cheaper m/p's! I cannot get my head round this.............ok if it was historically linked to a "player" then maybe, but it is still a lump of rubber or metal. WE are being conned methinks, how long before the Chinese have this sorted ??

I assume Getz used one like it so I can see the reasoning (sort of)
and I can see wanting to have the same mouthpiece that a giant of the past played but what I don't get is when the MP sells for the same price for a horn said giant didn't play.
Most of the time a mouthpiece manufacture is successful with just one horn.
For example I can't see spending big bucks on a link metal alto or NY Meyer tenor etc etc.

Like I said , I see (sort of) the reasoning why you may want the same MP that Getz played , but who played a slant sig soprano rubber Link MP?:?
