I've never played bass but I know vandoren makes a bass V5, which is available at saxquest.com.

Interesting, a lot of sites including music123.com and ebay don't have bass sax mouthpieces for sale right now. You can try Mouthpiece Express (http://www.mouthpieceexpress.com/catalog/index2.php?cPath=47_151&osCsid=5745e5aecd573a01f9984fd2cebbd5ad) as they appear to have both Selmer and Vandoran pieces.

Try Laksar reese at International Woodwind in Hollywood. I have two bass MPC's that I got from him. Both are very good. I use a fibercell med soft baritone reed on them and they work quite well. It can be difficult to find bass sax reeds. I play IW's 661 bass sax, great bass sax.

I've got two vintage bass mouthpieces I don't need:
1. Unmarked hard rubber. Large chamber + small opening.
2. Lelandais metal. Large chamber + small opening.
E-mail for pictures and prices.

I found an old Buescher bass sax mouthpiece on e-bay, then I sent it to "the mouthpiece guys" they made it look and sound new. Zinner from Germany makes several new bass sax pieces, one came with my bass. If you want a fat bass sax sound stay away from crappy so called bass sax mouthpieces from JJ Babbitt, Or modified bari pieces as they seem weak compared to a real bass sax piece and reed. My favorite is a vintage Woodwind co. B5 bass sax piece.
