Does anyone here play a Ponzol mouthpiece, metal or HR, on your Super 20? If so, what is your experience? Is it a good setup?
Thanks for sharing.

Alto or tenor? It makes a difference.
And what kind of sound are you after?
If you put one of his new "Vintage" hard rubber mpcs on your ALTO Super 20, you should get a great conventional bebop/post-bop sound with a lot of presence. If you put one of his new stainless steel alto mpcs on your Super 20, you should get a huge contemporary sound that is bright but full-bodied and not shrill.

I think that you might refer to your new Super 20 alto, which I envy you very much.
If you otherwise refer to your super 20 tenor...... I've just bought a Ponzol 105 M1 brass. Very nice piece indeed , I am still coming to terms with it but it is very powerful with quite some edge although still retaining a certain darkness. Very easy blowing it offers a great control on the sound of my Super 20, better so with the Gloger Silver Neck than with the original brass neck. I'm using it wit the original Rovner ligature but I am thinking to change it for a FL ultimate ligature pure brass.

Ponzol M2 120 on a Super 20 tenor is a great matchup.

Thanks, everyone, for your comments.
I was referring to my Super 20 alto and the Ponzol mpc I am looking at is a gold-plated one. I also have a Ponzol Custom (HR) alto mpc, and it is exactly like Gary's description of Ponzol alto mpcs.
I am not sure there is much a difference between my Ponzol Custom HR and the one I am considering.
Perhaps I should go with a Dukoff.
As for my S20 tenor, I tried an M2 metal mpc on it, and the sound was stuffy and did not project at all. But the horn sounds very nice with a Dukoff D7.
