I have a closet mint mark vi 163K. This is really as mint as they get. The orginal pades are still in and were treated before I bought it and everything was check to be sealing right. Would a re-pad give the horn more pop?

Pads themselves won't give it more "POP" as you put it. All the pads do is seal the tonehole. It's the reso's that boost the tone. If the horn plays well and doesn't leak, you might want to try elsewhere like a different mouthpiece to give you what you're looking for. Some players even go to the extent of a different neck to get what they're looking for. Try mouthpieces first. They're less expensive and many stores will let you try them out before you buy them :wink: 8)
