I have had a Selmer Metal Clarinet Mouthpiece that I understand was originally made for Selmer's @ mid 1920's Metal Clarinets.
The mouthpiece is in great shape and has the out cork ring on it's neck.
Need advice as to how to find someeone that might appreciate such a thing?
ANY ADVICE?

Is it anything like this one (http://www.saxontheweb.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=68185)? It's been adapted to play on a soprano sax, but it started life as a clarinet piece.

I could appreciate such a thing, for sure, but I don't think I have the money you deserve for such a rare, interesting item.
If you are interested in selling it, you might want to talk to 10MFan on this board. He sells a lot of rare, high-dollar mouthpieces here and on eBay. He brings in big bucks for rare mouthpieces and might be able to help you out.

Yes this mpc originally came with the Selmer metal clarinets
such as these which do not have the original metal mpcs

I certainly would be interested in your mpc
yours seems to be different from the normal ones which have a different shank design.

My problem is that it sits in a bag on my dresser and collects tarnish. It does not paly well in my opinion anyway.
If youa re interested the ligature and cap are not original but contact me at mschaffer@nc.rr.com
