If Im after a reed simular to a plasticover, but all cane. What are my options, vandoren zz?

Try a box of Alexander Superial DC's

Ya, I used these a couple years back. They had a fabulous sound, but they made me sqeak every now and then. What about Vandoren javas, Ive heard some fantastic things about them. Do they have a feel like a plasticover. Id say the Alexanders were pretty close in feel.

javas to me are pretty soft. You need to go 1/2 harder w/ a java than you would normally play. The are ok. Bright , but not quite as buzzy as a Plasticover. if i dont have the dc's centered well, I will squeak occasionally too.

IMO nothing feels like a plasticover. devote plasticover users will attend to this. When you put one in your mouth you instantly can tell that it's covered in something that would never be in your mouth normally. Sound.... ZZ's maybe. response. nothing responds like them.
