Well, Ive seen a few poles on favorite reeds in the past that havent gone so well. Im going to try to give everyone a lot of options on this one. I think it would be interesting in the end to know which reed is the most popular. Even though reeds are different for everyone, and even every mpc, lets see what people gravitate to. Hopefully everyone participates and we can get good response.

If your reed isnt listed, visit my other threads links below. There are 17 other reed brands listed. You can also mark other brand in this poll if you do not wish to jump to the following thread link.

Maybe we can do a poll on favorite mouthpiece, sax manufacture in the future.

This seams like a good idea. In the past its usually about whats the best, not personal favorite. This is actually interesting even to us players who have tried them all. I went with Alexander (DC's) for me.

I'd vote for Vandoren V16, why didn't you include those?

I use Vandoren Traditional on clarinet, and ZZ's on alto and soprano.

I used to use them, but for some reason they made me have a squeak now and then. I tried the DC and superials. I did love the sound I got with them.

I think Im going to try all the highest favorite ranked reeds on these polls and see if any perform better then my every day reeds. I wish they made a sample pack that would let you try 10 brands at a time, lol.

I had no idea that Legere was such a big favorite. I always thought it was fibracell as a non cane. i thought plasticover was used more often as a favorite as well.

Alexander Superial or DC for Bari and Alto. Nothing sounds better. More playable reeds per box.

Nothing beats a good plasticover if your into that contemporary sound

This has been my experience as well. Plasticovers are amazing reeds. I have noticed they dont seam to be as consistant lately. Maybe its just the last few packs I bought. I hope this is the case:)

I use the Rico Royals, which was not an option in the poll...
and is definitely different than just plain old Rico reeds.
