I used to think rico jazz select 3 soft filed were the perfect reed for the runyon custom 7 alto, but the one I have is a bit more open with a larger baffle, and on my Conn the intonation is hard to control. Instead of changing mouthpieces, what other reeds can I try? I remember rico orange 3's working well, so I plan to try those tomorrow.
