I ordered some Bari Star reeds from WWBW and the one for Baritone had an unsealed plastic container. The container said "medium" on the outside but when I took out the reed it said "soft" and it had some fine scratches on the back side. The reed is playable but it's not exactly what I ordered. Makes me wonder if they are putting returned reeds in the plastic containers and selling them as new reeds. Rinse your synthetic reeds before you play them; God only knows where they have been.

wwandbw is the worst store Ive ever dealt with, they used to be good like 7-8 years ago. Then the people who cared left, and all the people that hated there jobs and hate answering the phone's stayed there. Sometimes I still buy from them because they are only 3 hours away so its fast shipping, if they get it right! One day Ill learn my lesson.

Just recently I ordered a new Neotec harness for marching band camp and online it said it was in. So I got a few other stuff and everything but the harness came. I called and they said "oh, then the guy who helped you was wrong." I was like "I can understand that so can you please tell me when they'll be in?" The lady said "End of July."
So August came around and still no word of shipment. I got an email last week saying "your item has been placed on backorder and will ship in November." I was literally like ":angry4:"and called them immediately. The said "oh, well if that's what the email said, that's what's happening." I said, "did you take my money to pay for it already?" They said "yes" and I said "at least cancel it for me then." She said "I'm sorry but you paid with your card and I can't return your money, I have to ship you the item." I just "blew up." I don't think I have ever cursed so much within a 2 minute period, at least 200 words (both english and spanish). I got on the phone wih the manager and I got my money back (After 20 min of :argue3:.I am NEVER going to use WWBW EVER AGAIN!!!!

I had the same thing happen last week. I ordered 4 medium Bari baritone reeds and got 4 soft ones in the medium containers. They are going to send me a pre paid envelope and replace my reeds with the right ones after they make sure the right ones are in the right container. I usually have no problems with Woodwind/Brasswind or with their customer service.

I just dont understand how one of the largest music stores in the world, with a huge inventory(not near what it used to be) and good customer care can take a dive so quickly to the point they are a hassle to even buy off of. The new management must not care one bit what the employee's do there, because they never help, and are always rushing you off the phone, and I know good and well all there doing is sitting there talking to friends when the phone conversation is over. Its really sad. Im really seeing that my generation(30yrs old) and down are really getting lazy and have no goal for customer care at all. And it seams to get worse ever year, and is becoming accepted.

This is almost EXACTLY what happened to me, except that is weird, because when I asked them to cancel my order after months of waiting, and asked if they would give me a full refund, they said that they did not charge cards for orders until they shipped.

I've never had a problem with them, though 1stopclarinet is cheap for everything

Hopefully this market for used sax reeds will grow, I've got a cash cow I'm ready to milk ;)

I just got off the phone with one of the customer service girls who apologized that I hadn't received a return call or E- mail concerning my innacurate order. She said she was going to just go ahead and send me the reeds I ordered and I could keep the soft ones or donate them to a school. I think she was quite polite and concerned with my situation. I didn't get any kind of negative vibe or attitude- in fact- just the opposite.
