I ordered a Yanagisawa B992 on trial, and lo and behold, they sent me a B992P with the Peg attachment and pegs.

Cool stuff, but how do you solve the case problem? The stock Yani case has a hole for the peg, but I'm not a fan of the Yani cases (currently have a B901).

It will not work with my recently acuired Bam case.

How have you solved this? And hopefully someone has with a Bam.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE no 992 vs 901 discussion. I'll start a thread on that in a few days, hopefully with some goodies....

Many of the Chinese baris come in cases with the cutout for floor pegs. I sometimes see the cases listed on Ebay for around $170 +shipping. I have one for my Vito VSP, which fits pretty well. I don't really care for the zipper and velcro instead of latches though...

If there is enough room, you might be able to cutout a bit of the foam, or just punch the peg through it (make a hole) to accomodate the peg.

Otherwise, I suppose you could have your tech just remove the peg :)

I bought a second hand (the owner dumped it for a gig bag - a very bad decision in my eyes) YBS 52 case off of the eBay website. Completely unused and undamaged, it came with a slot for the peg (or the peg mount, to be a bit more precise) at the foot of the instrument.

however, with a Yamaha horn I was staying within the horn's family. Don't know if another brand would work as well.

I don't know if this model is popular enough to have case manufacturers make the adjustment. Short of cutting into the foam on the BAM, I have no idea.

Have you checked ProTec or thought about a gig bag? Anvil could make a custom case.

Protec fits a floor peg bari just fine. My Jupiter 900 series bari has one (though I never use it.)

Thanks for the responses. I already have a Protec that I used for the 901 prior the BAM. The 901 slides around in it, and even though I paded it signficantly, it always made me nervous, hence the purchase. Plus it doesnt have wheels...

QUESTION - someone had mentioned a guy who made custom cases and case modifications, I think both Chitownjazz and Hakukani had used him...and idea who I'm referring to?

I know Anvil makes custom cases and there was a place in Florida that made custom cases as well.

Try http://www.cases2go.com/ and see what they have to offer.
