I've been extremely happy with Rico Reserves on my alto and I've been anxiously awaiting their release for soprano. According to the Rico International website, they were supposed to be available starting in July, '08...but none of the online dealers listed on Rico's website seem to be carrying them yet...and none of the sources I usually get my reeds from have them either.
Does anyone know if they exist yet? If so...Where can I find them?
Thanks!

I just played thru a batch of PROTO TYPES and I'm sure they'll be out sometime soon. The packaging is done and the reeds are quite nice.
I do product testing/ workshops for Rico & also tried some RESERVE TENOR reeds and was impressed with the nice cane, cut and packaging.
It shouldn't be long- it will be soon I'm sure.:)

Nice work if you can get it!
Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just to have to wait.
It's a bummer to know that they're ready to go but I still can't get my hands on them. Patience has never been one of my virtues. :)

Yeah the new Rico classical reeds. Very high quality; I like them better than the Vandoren Blue Box.

You can find Rico Reserve Reeds for Soprano Sax on their online store. But, as I found out trying to locate H-ligatures, Rico's web site is kinda scewed up. To get there, go to www.ricoreeds.com (http://www.ricoreeds.com). Click on "Buy Now" in the upper right corner. Then you should be able to follow the links to the Rico Reserve Soprano reeds (Product Catagories->Rico Reeds->Saxophone Reeds->Soprano Sax->Reserve).
Or just try clicking here (http://www.shopatron.com/index/421.0.16219.16965.16966.17673.0).

I feel like I just had a Homer Simpson moment...DOH!
It really did look like the "buy now" and "online retailers" links were one in the same...so the only one I had clicked was the "online retailers" link. It does appear that they are for sale now...but oddly enough...more expensive than the alto Reserves. I think I might give them a call before I try ordering online...just to make sure something isn't screwy.
Thanks again!

Probably correct, they probably do multitudes less sales on sop reeds so the cost of running the machines for them is higher.
