I don't know if I would be willing to spend that much for it.
The machine marks on the table look pretty nasty.

I have one (and no, I DID NOT pay that much!). First off, the mouthpiece is HEAVY. It's most definitely not a classical 'piece! Maybe a little bit more open or very comparable to a Vandoren 5JB. It doesn't play bad and is definitely brighter than a traditional hard rubber or plastic 'piece. Believe it or not, it's still on the small side for me and I've recently bought a Jody Espina #8 mouthpiece that I absolutely love.

So there's my 2 cents worth!

I have a client who plays Latin Jazz/Salsa music on these. Over the years he has sent me about 8 to open up and reface. The chamber shapes are different due to manufacturing variation. The tip openings and facing curves vary too.
