Hello all

I am a soprano sax tragic and am adicted to the sound of the specialist players (Burnett, Bloom, Lacy et al)

I will be travelling to Thailand in October and wonder if any of you know of any Thai soprano specialist players whose discs I may be able to find over there or on the net? Any style of music (including such Thai styles as Morlam and ChaChaCha) would be fine.

I don't read Thai so my web searches haven't turned up anything useful yet but if anyone can give me the names of players or refer me to a good shop in Thailand I'd be grateful.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for this! Just the start I need for searches. I'll try to see Koh live when I'm over.

There is such a player and his name is Tevan Sapsanyakorn. As well known as Koh Mr Saxman in Thailand. Advertises herbal remedies on TV. Stylistically in the fusion lite/smooth camp and IMHO as good as the US players of this style. Can't find a website for him but ethaicd.com carries his discs. I bought my copies at Tesco Lotus. Also carried by SE-ED.

And yes, I know it's bad form to answer one's own posts.
