Ok. ever since i got my mark VI i have been a nervous wreck cause i have a cheap travel case with no locks. I have been looking around for a good flight case (much like the selmer ones) with locks. but with no luck. i have a budget of around 150. can you guys help me out oh great ones?

No locks! If you lose the key you have to wreck the latch to get in. If somebody is going to steal the horn their going to take the case too-then they get to wreck the latch /case. If you do get a case with locks-make sure the locks are unlocked then squirt a bit of glue in there to permanently disable them then throw the keys away.

touch'e. the thing is that i need the locks for little kids and at school for the reason of little kids. i took my SX90R to the kindergarten where i help teach music and some kids got into it and dropped it. so its more for the little people. i have a case i use for normal use

Why not just take care of the horn and keep it out of their reach? Kids aren't that big.

Increase your budget and get a Hiscox. I mean... it's a VI.

The Walt Johnson case has a place where you can put any kind of lock you want; keyed, combination, word, etc

Leave the MKVI at home, keep taking the SX. Way too valuable an instrument for someone with a backup or two to risk. I've got a Grafton and a MKVI, I'll take the MKVI out, but if there is high chance of rain, or snow, you better believe I'm breaking out the Selmer USA. If your horn has already been dropped get a square Protec, and a small luggage combo pad lock, no key, and little hands can't open it.

Hiscox if you can find one. Amazing cases and extremely well thought out designs.

Wow guys. well i need to update my thing . i jut recently sold my SX. I did not need it anymore. as for an older horn. Where did i put my dads Series II (like he uses it anymore)
Grafton are you a nervous wreck with you Grafton when you take it out?
How about a lockable luggage strap? A lot cheaper than buying a new case just to keep the rug rats out. For example: http://www.amazon.com/Samsonite-Travel-Accessories-Locking-Luggage/dp/B000HL0HIW/ref=pd_sbs_a_9

and remember to disable the lock when you get it. Gary's suggestion is a much better idea-even for the Hiscox.

You know not really, I'm very careful with all horns. The only rule I keep is I don't play it outdoors, but I'm sure one day I'll do that. It has already been broken and repaired in the bow, so that takes off the pressure. I let people play it when I have it out, unfortunately that isn't much, I've probably played it half a dozen times in the last 4-5 years. I have an older square Protec for it.
If you don't still own the SX I'd take the Martin out, or the Series II, for sure play and enjoy the MKVI's you have, but if it's high risk take something else.

Got my Hiscox case yesterday, thanks Brian, and I am impressed. Very well built solid case with secure latches with one that locks. This case fits my saxgourmet tenor with the large bell. Lots of accessory room.
If you have not seen the video on the website check it out. These cases are built to protect.
I bought a Hiscox case for the same reason I bought Saxrax stands, to protect my investment. Nothing better out there in my opinion.
