So we have kept the developement of this horn very quiet. This is our new "Handmade" model tenor. It is also a RedBrass alloy.
It has some slight bore and neck changes to it. The horn is more open and is much more vibrant then any of our other models. It has alot more hand time on it in the manufacturing process.
It is only available in the one setup.

So why the big secret in development?
Wanted to make sure that the factory could deliver. This is a different level of craftsmanship that they were shooting for. So if it was a flop, we did not want to get hopes up.
The CMA approach.
I am happy to say that they were NOT a flop.

Hmmm, maybe there's a lesson here for a certain other sax product (http://forum.saxontheweb.net/showthread.php?t=57839) mentioned around here.
Dave, it looks like you guys are working hard to bring in good quality affordable products. Good luck to you.

Sweet looking sax! And quite the surprise announcement as well! :thumbrig:
You ought to have Chuck or someone else in your shop put up some sound clips of your various models (especially the tenors :D ) showcasing the horns and the Kessler mouthpieces!

I have always shied away from sound clips as I do not find them advantageous. Since everyone plays differently, and will get a different result even if playing the same horn back to back to the recorded player, what good would it do?
However, I have been tempted. We recently started stocking some of the Zoom digital recorders and I have been wanting to play with one...
Yeah but Dave...where are the white gloves?

Wow, that was quick! Granted, it would be/is of limited value, and I'm not surprised you've already thought about it. But at the least it would give some kind of a frame of reference between the different models and/or the mouthpieces.
Plus, it'd give you a chance to play with the Zooms! (tempting, tempting....)

Hey, as much "condensation" that I've had come out on my left hand, I think I could use a pair of those gloves! :)

Hey I can imagine, running your own business. Not for the lazy or faint of heart. I've tried a couple of times so I do have an idea. But I've been down with a little sciatic issue for the last week. I've got too much time on my hands at the moment and been on SoTW too much. However, it is entertaining at times!
