I know the way to tell if its a worthwhile sax is by the left hand pads and the "s" bell brace, but I cant get a look at the bell brace, so does anyone know of any other way to tell, or if the left side pads are enough to tell?

Why can't you get a look at the brace? If it's on Ebay you can ask for better pictures. Not sure of another way to check. I have one I am restoring to sell. It has the S brace and will have new pads, etc after I am finished. How big a hurry are you in? Dan

I just bought it after talking to my repair guy, said he'd give me a good deal on any work it needed since i always take the time to pass up several band shops to go to him (I wouldnt trust those shops with a toy sax)

I think I've found out what I needed to know anyway

Are the left pinky table keys on the old Signet's like the new ones? or do they have the old style pinky table keys where the C#,B,Bb are next to each other and the Bb wraps around below?
