It has actually been years, not months. I've played that horn and like it. It should have sold a long time ago.

Hello !!

What a chance to live near JUNKDUDE !!! If I've got the opportunity, I've just moved to USA (OHIO) for that :D:D:D:D:D

It has been years ??? Are you sure ? There's a hidden problem, so ...?

The Rev. B is not as desirable as rev.D or gold medal ...?

About the horn you've tried : are some (previous) repairs on it ? This is the original finish ?
The horn is in top physical condition ? No resoldered joints anywhere ? no dings ? no dents ? The horn (main body tube)hasn't been swedged ?

Thanks !

It has been a couple of years since I tried it, but I don't remember any damage or repairs except the octave mech that Dave mentions. Since he also mentions the button key touches, I have no doubt that this https://www.junkdude.com/ProductDetail.aspx?id_product=179
is the same horn. I liked it best of about a dozen altos I played that day.

Hello !!

thanks to you, guys, for your contribution to this post !

In this condition, is it worth buying (this sax is guaranted and I won't have hidden default) ?? Mr HOSKINS (JUNKDUDE) is one of the best professionnal sax sellers : I never have problem with him till now ...

Or is it more interesting to buy this (stenciled Rev.D) :

considering the saxophone has been on sale for 4 years, in the event that you decide you dont' want it, you will likely have an easier time getting rid of the rev D stencil.

check on ebay, the stencils often show up in the 1100 range. i have a seen a few sml's that have really warped toneholes.

I'm not so sure. A silver horn with fresh pads seems like it should bring more than a stencil. It also has pretty cool engraving. The only funk factor on Junkdude's horn is the shirt button pearls. I kind of dug them, but they could be replaced.

You know, I read that term "shirt button pearls," and wondered "Hmm, what does *that* mean; I've never heard that term before."

So I took a look at the horn and see that it means ... shirt button pearls!

And I actually *played* that ding-dang horn on my JunkDude field trip last year and never noticed them (and thought it was a really nice alto, by the way...).

Thanks to all of you, guys for your comments !

Despite being a "player" horn, Could it be a collectable horn too ?

Max.
