The same cases that everyone recommends for everyone else. The hiscox ones are great.

I can't think of any cases where you can get an alto and tenor in the same one.

So I'd stick with Hiscox for the best protection. They're also nicely balanced and comfortable to carry whether using the handle or strap.

Several years back I had an Anvil case made to hold tenor, alto, soprano and flute. I use it on longer tours and when traveling out of the country or when I need or want to carry more than tenor. JR

Unless you're going to use wheels, individual cases are better. Easier to carry, less likely to be dropped or ""dropped" by an irate baggage handler, and easier to get in and out of tight places too.....

For carrying yourself, Pro-tec is decent, durable, and priced ok. theres also a shoulder strap. I carry two horns, a guitar, and a pedalboard in a single trip thanks to the ease of using pro-tec cases on the saxes....If you're having others transfer your gear - get airline rated cases....

I not only distribute them... but am thoroughly convinced of the effectiveness and ease of use in a Hiscox case. Ask me any questions you need to.

I'm considering one of these:

Brian, I just purchased a Hiscox II for alto from your store today. Mike was very helpful.

Wheeled cases don't do much good if you have to climb stairs or traverse rough surfaces. And an alto/tenor case could be one tough mutha to hand carry--not just the weight, but also the awkwardness. I'm with Fader. Two cases are better (especially if they are Hiscox). I often play alto, tenor and clarinet and can make one trip with a tenor Hiscox, tri-pak traditional alto and clarinet, plus a music stand and double sax stand.

For our usual downtown gig, it would be nice to have the wheeled doubler case to keep me from making 2 trips down the sidewalk.

However, the new Ref 54 alto comes in that really compact BAM case, so if I found something similar for the JK tenor, then they might be easier to handle. I usually have 2 horns, 2 sax stands, a music stand and a box full of charts. What I probably need is some kind of wheeled cart to load everything onto.
