I recently stumbled across a metal berg 110/2 for tenor. The baffel, is the straight, drop off kind-not the bullet chamber. This is the only berg I&ve played or seen with this type of baffel. Are current ones made like this? I'm trying to figure out if the one I found is vintage. Thanks.

Berg makes that type of baffle now, and has for a long time. I don't think that gives any indication of age. Try Mouthpiece Heaven for descriptions of various Bergs.

To clarify:
A metal Berg has a step baffle on the /2 and /3
A metal Berg has a bullet baffle on the /0 and /1
AFAIK
An HR Berg has a bullet baffle on all mouthpieces.
Older Berg's (50-60's) used to have a bullet baffle on the /2 as well.
Hope this helps.

That helped a lot. The reason i was confused is that my hr /3 has a bullet, while my metal /2 has a drop off. I didn't know that all hr had bullets. Thanks
