sorry to potentially hijack... but the prices for the horns on the site seem to be EXTREMELY low.

I played a the Brancher B24 for some time. Very great MPC. I don't know why they are still a secret tipp.
The B24 has power and bunch and a very funky sound but jet was quite flexible. I've changed because in the end it was to bright for me.
The J's are similiar to Links but better and more modern.
Give them a try.
The Metal Ligatures are the most beautiful Ligatures on the market and sounding very well. They were built in manufractures of cartier

Their metals are great- quite similar to good quality Berg Larsens....

I bought a new Tenor Brancher large chamber ebony from Saxforte while I was waiting for Fred Lamberson to finish making a "matching pair" of wood 8DD's...I just HAD to have a wood piece...I tend to be VERY impatient and I usually spoil myself when it comes to toys!!!
The wood is preferred(by me) regardless of make...just "something about it" I really can't explain. The Brancher wood piece I have is REALLY nicely made...definitely not junk! If you're familiar with Lamberson pieces, the Brancher large chamber ebony MPC's are very close to Fred's SB-type pieces, if not, my comparison wont mean much to you. Hope that helps?

How Bright are the Alto B series Brancher Mouthpieces? I play on a Dukoff D9, and I assume, nothing is brighter than that. But Saxforte advertizes the Brancher as their brightest sounding mouthpiece.

Is it almost as bright as the Dukoff, or not so...Thanks...

In the end, it was too bright for me?
I would say give it a try. Actually I liked this mouthpiece very much, but my taste of brightness changed.

Thanks Tobias. However, you are saying it is a very bright mouthpiece then? I don't mind throwing 250 at a mouthpiece if I try it first, kind of hard without trying it first, which is why I am making sure it is pretty bright. I love the bright sound I have now (see my myspace page for a listen) but I am considering experimenting on a new mouthpiece. I want a bright sound, and I want it slightly easier to play soft down low (low C and below) and I think this may do the trick. But again, I don't fly to SC just to try a mouthpiece out, and there are not local stores that carry Branchers (that I know of) near me. Thanks again all!

Tobias, I mean "Is it as bright as a Dukoff D9". The guy at Saxforte said "close, but not quite." How accurate is that. To be honest, I really like the guy at Saxforte. The brancher neck-strap is a god send. I am just trying their reeds. Will be able to give feedback on them in a couple of weeks. Brancher seems to be a solid brand...Thanks...

I use a large chamber L19 on alto and I love it!!! BIG DARK FAT SOUND. My daughter just got a J17 gold plated one to use w/ her Cannonball alto. Nice piece. Brings out some nice high overtones over her Cannonball's dark sound.

@little sax: Is there not the possibitly to test it with moneyback?

I tested for a week a dukkof d, I don't know which one was brighter but IMHO the brancher has a better tone quallity and more flexible.

I do not think so...but I can email SaxForte and find out what their policy is. But thanks for your humble opinion...seems to me I just need to find a way to try one before buying one.

In germany testing is not a problem. Or try to get it used, so you jsut resell it afterwards when it doesn't suite you

Hi !!

This is that model I'm interested in (L19 - large chamber) to use with my BUESCHER TrueTone Or My CONN Chu. Do you use the ebonite or ebony one ???! The ebony seems to be very elegant on old sax (question of matters) but can "crack" if not well cared .
