No, I really cannot find a picture, anywhere. Can this truly be? If any one knows where to find, please let me know?

I'm not a definitive yamaha reference, but I don't think such a beast exists... Is this a European model? Are you sure sure you don't mean a YTS-61?

Well, before the 62 there was a 61. I guess it stands to reason that there could have been a 51 before the 52 but I haven't actually heard of one.

What was the intermediate horn when the 61 was in production?

Well. I have this horn... .... .... ....
I hope to get help to take some really good pictures to post. It''s definately Yamaha. It's definately pre 62. But it's this connected keyguard, unlike any posted picture.
It's a Martin stencil.
Other posts about it, already,,, just looking for pictures.
Google yts-51 or 31 ... few hits... They do exist.
Thanks,
Clay
I swear I'll shut up when I have Picture Proof Positive

You know, I can't say I have actually seen a 51 series . 31,32,34, 34II, 52 were all intermediate horns, and I have seen these models, but not a 51. With your Martin stencil, you probably will have a few cosmetic differences, like the Vito stencils having a different finish. The closest I've seen is this 32 for the keyguard.

However, your Martin had a 31 style bell brace. Whether it's a 31,32, or a 52. It's a intermediate horn. Not a pro horn.

By the way. The 52 was NOT the best intermediate horn that Yamaha made at that time .
The YTS 34II was a better horn.
