Most likely, but I have never heard of anyone who actually measured their tip openings. Most are going by a Sax Journal article Ralph Morgan wrote years ago about Meyers. It is available on the SJ web site. I have measured several vintage Meyer Bros 5s that measure the same as modern 5s and some that measure as modern 7s.

On different occasions, I came across three NY Meyers (5 facing) recently. They were all between .71 and .73. They're about the same as modern Meyers.
Don't you find that you can hear Phil and Cannon using their throat to push air through a small opening?

Of course, any of these mouthpieces could have been refaced before, so you don't really know.

I did some research on vintage Meyers some months ago and found the same findings. The majority of my searches (local & net) resulted in many vintage Meyer 5M's in tip openings around .072". There were some in .078", but the number of pieces in .072" heavily outnumbered the ones on .078"
In addition, I talked with Dave Kessler about a month ago. According to him, the Meyer Bros made a switch with the sizes during the existence of the 1st generation NY Meyer. This could explain why my findings included 5Ms in .078".
