You have this query under the Selmer Paris heading. Actually, the Selmer Bundy was made in the US in the former Buescher facility. The Selmer Bundys have a similar sound to Buescher Aristocrats of that era. In the 60s, Selmer (Mark VI) was already the most popular professional horn. Other popular saxes included the Conn 6/10M, King Super 20, and Buescher 400. In terms of sound, the mouthpiece you buy is probably more important than the sax you use. The Link mouthpiece was widely used for jazz in the 60s. Metal Bergs were popular for R&B. BTW, for jazz, I normally play either an Alexandre Pro (a 60s Italian horn) or a Selmer Bundy Tenor S/N 5xx,xxx with a Metal Dave Knox Custom MP made from a Link Blank. The Dave Knox plays like a Link, but with a bit more edge and projection. For Rock/R&B, I normally use a Vandoran Jumbo Java T95.
