Heard of 'em and owned one, a Monique Pro silver plate - couldn't get rid of it fast enough. They are inexpensive (read "cheap"), - you can get a new one on eBay for under $400 - yet nice looking when new. But, they are cheaply made and I knew when I first picked mine up that it was too light to be made with a level of quality acceptable to me.

You can't expect much from a new sax selling for less than $400. This is a classic case of getting what you pay for. Unless you don't plan to use one much, and you have no intention of playing with other muscians in a group, my recommendation would be to steer clear of these.
