Hi,
I am in the process of buying a soprano metal mouthpiece with a tip opening of 0.075.

I usually play my soprano sax using a 0.048 tip opening mouthpiece.

I also play alto, and the mouthpiece of my alto has a tip opening of 0.065.

I have no problems hitting all the notes (low Bb to High F#) with the 0.048 for my soprano and 0.065 for my alto.

Is it difficult to get myself used to this new mouthpiece on my soprano?

You'll probably need softer reeds.

If you don't like it, you can either throw it in a drawer, or sell it.:)

It depends on how long it takes you to find a reed which is a good match for the new mouthpiece.

Currently Im using a Fibracell #3 1/2 reed for my soprano, and Fibracell #3 for my alto.

Stick with the .048. I use a .049-.053 on soprano and a .075 on Alto.
