replacement alto neck

I need a neck for my (Rev D?) alto. I don't have the original neck (instead I have one made of a flimsy tin can type material and painted silver). Can anyone tell me what the best neck might be to replace this one? I'm aware that it might be possible to get one made specially, but I'm hoping that I might be able to get away with a cheaper option. The alto is silver plated if that makes any difference, but I'm not too worried about appearance. If anyone has any experiences/info to share (or a spare SML neck!) I'd be grateful for your response.
