Hello

I am trying to find out the age and value of a Jupiter alto sax model 767 with silver plating. I think the model I have is older than the current model, probably from mid 90s (any S/N list to find out exactly?). Any idea how these compare with the current 767 model? The best I could find is on some UK websites a new 767 lacquered (couldn't find silver plated) is about 475 GBP. From searching and comparing whatever I could find it seems that local prices of Jupiter saxophones are approx. 30% more than in the UK. From playing it (and it will play better after repair) I think it is a very nice instrument.

Any help will be appreicated!

Thanks!

Can't tell you about the exact vintage, but Jupiters are good horns which are very undervalued in the Netherlands, even the better series such as the 767 are going for as little as 300 euros, the silver plate is rarer and may be 500 but not much more.

Shops might be charging another 75% on top of it
