I'm looking for any pieces that are good to play to warm-up before actual practice/performance. For example, on piano/organ there are the Hanon works and on clarinet there's the Baermann III. Anything like this for alto?

For me = Best warm up exercise is Long Tone in different approach - Crescendo & Decrescendo.
After 10 minutes. Then go to Over tone (5 minutes) --- Then Altissimo exercise (10 minutes).
These 3 items give me very good warm up on breath support & tone quality development. After this, my typical daily routine will be like this:
1) Expressive technique (Sub-Tone, Growling..etc).
2) Fingering Bluster & Articulation.
3) Harmony - Scale, Patterns, Chord & Arpeggio = These items spend much longer time compare with others
4) Play song
For Harmony, work on each key. If time is not allowed to play all 12 keys. Then practice 6 keys (either ascending, descending, or Cycle of 5th). In next day, play the remaining 6 keys.
If 6 keys even not allow due to limit time, work on 3 keys (but more difficult keys). If you never/lazy to work on Harmony, try to work on these things. Time will tell you the result if you have patient do this everytime/everyday. If some songs you want to play now but difficult for you (fingering, altissimo..etc). After you work on these harmony just a few months later, you will find those songs are much more easy to handle.
