Was it a Custom Tenney Piece or Stock - I play one of Tenney's Tone Edge 7s. Love It as well. What reed are you using?

I bought it from musicians friend. I am using Vandoren V-16s

Good tip opening for the HR Link. Stick with this piece for a few years and then try other pieces. Playing a large chamber HR Link will make a man out of you.

Links are great. For the longest time I couldn't get along with them then a friend of mine convinced me to try a smaller 7*. Keep in mind, I never played anything smaller than a .115 8* before this.

These days I play exclusively a 7* STM. I really believe they are best in 7* and smaller.

Interesting, I couldn't get along with Links forever and then I played an 8* Link STM. Could partially be the reface but I don't think that's all of it, the smaller tips seem to play better for me now as well.
